Shortys Lives Up To Their Look Good, Pay Less Motto

One of the good things about being a student in the Durban CBD was that I was able to venture around and see what cool places we could find.

My friends and I were all lived in outer lying areas so it would be the first time we'd be able to explore the Durban CBD.

There were many great places that we saw, from old historic buildings to massive chain stores.

But one store that stood out for me was Shortys. This particular store was based in Prince Edward Street.

Even back then, I loved a good bargain and this place specialised in good deals.

That day I bought a formal dress for R20, which I used for another 3 years before it showed any sings of wear.

There were other great deals like 5 t-shirts for R100 and big chain store branded items for at least half the price of what they usually retail for.

I was pleased to know that when I went back to the same store last year, they still kept good stock that was reasonably priced.

Just this week I discovered that there is a Shortys on Stamford Hill Road, which I was quite pleased about.

I saw a chain store ladies golfer that usually retails for around R120, selling for R47 at Shortys.

There were formal dresses worth at least R300, selling for R100. They also still kept to their deals with buy 4 t-shirts for R100 or buy 3 ladies tops for R100.

Men's clothing was affordable with t-shirts going for R30 and R50. The kiddies section was also great with kids character sets selling for at least half of what it would normally sell for.

The great thing about Shortys is that despite some factory shops selling rejects or soiled items, they don't. Most of their stuff is ex-chain store items and clearance stock, which is why the items are sold at such prices.

So if ever you're heading into the Durband CBD, be sure to make a stop at one of their 4 stores.

For more information you can visit the Shorty's website.
