Naartjie Kids Clothing Drive Set To Be Fruitful

Today's post is not really factory shop related, but it is about shopping so it counts.

I am a Millenial Mum so where old school mum's would have had to watch t.v shows and read magazines for tips on kids clothing to playtime activities, I would simply Google or follow kid brands on Facebook.

One such brand that I follow on Facebook is Naartjie Kids South Africa.

They've been around for 26 years and have clothing for newborns to 12 year old's.

Yesterday they shared an interesting post on their Facebook Page about a great initiative, the Clothing Drive.

You can get up to 25% off at Naartjie stores when you donate to their Clothing Drive before 30 June 2015. All you have to do is donate your previously worn kids' clothes (any brand) and they'll give you a 5% discount voucher for each item received.

Now there's a number of things that I like about this initiative.

Firstly, when most stores hold drives to collect clothes or food, that is all it is.

You donate items, the NGO's receive it, and that's the end.

With Naartjie, they are adding an incentive to the donation, a 5% discount voucher for each item received.

Now this may seem shocking, but some people are sometimes hesitant to make donations.

Naartjie has definitely thought out of the box with this, making everyone want to donate.

Apart from the incentive, there's also the fact that Naartjie is not asking for brand new items, but previously used items.

I think this is a big plus as some people, again, would think that instead of buying items to donate, they may as well donate the money or maybe even not donate at all.

Another amazing thing is that Naartjie has asked for any items from any brands.

If they wanted, Naartjie could have strictly asked for Naartjie products, but they didn't because I'm sure they realised that by allowing all brands, they are opening it up for more and more donations.

So all in all, I think this is an absolutely amazing initiative. It's savings and giving back, what could be more awesome?

I'm keen to visit the Gateway store in Durban and donate some of my daughter Danielle's stuff.

If you would like to find a store in your area, visit the Naartjie Kids website.

PS: The pun was totally intentional in the headline. I live for the cheese. :D
